The jewel of 85 Walnut Street is the creation of a public park abutting the new office/lab building in Watertown, Massachusetts. Verdant transformed the existing, under-utilized green space that was not accessible to the public and developed a unique, accessible, shared outdoor environment. Highlights include: a central open green lawn, amphitheater seating, and paths for pedestrians and bicycles.

Several existing shade trees are preserved as part of the project, and additional native tree plantings and restoration plantings supplemented the design to support a healthy functioning environment.
