Verdant Landscape Architecture is working with The Architectural Team to design an independent and assisted living senior residence in Salem New Hampshire across the street from the City’s new Senior Center. The site’s design and layout reflects a special consideration from the team for the bordering vegetated wetlands. Another site feature is a south facing terrace outside of the dining and living rooms which is enclosed with perennials and accented with a fountain. The terrace connects to a screened in gazebo that overlooks the surrounding wetland. The gazebo’s location near the wetland and on a resident walking trail proves to be popular for birdwatching. The site also features an enclosed garden for Alzheimer and memory impaired residents.
