The project consists of an addition of a 24-unit memory care wing to an existing historical retirement home. The proposed addition is to the west side of the site and requires the relocation of Pond Meadow Drive. The configuration of the new C-shaped wing creates two courtyards that will provide outdoor space for residents: one to be utilized for the Memory Care residents (secured) and the other for the Pond Home residents.  The new architectural glass entry area will offer attractive views into the courtyard. Although Memory Care facilities do not require the typical car-parking ratios that other residential developments need, some additional car-parking facilities will be needed to accommodate additional nursing staff and visitors.
