Verdant Landscape Architecture worked with Sheskey Architects to design a landscape for a new affordable independent living and nursing facility in the Union Point development of Weymouth. The multi-building complex includes a variety of fully-accessible outdoor areas to engage residents year round.  The soothing sounds of a fountain will be heard in the dementia garden; seedlings will be grown in the greenhouse for adjacent community garden spaces; two bluestone terraces will accommodate outdoor dining; a rooftop garden will overlook scenic wetlands; lush plantings will surround individual patios for ground-level residents’ pleasure and privacy; and common patios and walkways will create opportunities for meeting, chatting, exercise and birdwatching. Phase I was completed in 2015. Phase II completed in 2020.
