Boylston 1280
Verdant Landscape Architecture is working with City Realty Group and Finegold Alexander Architects to design a new mixed-use development in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The project features a central ‘green spine’ which serves as a public gathering space, retail support space, and a pedestrian connection between the three proposed buildings. Current concepts for the Green Spine include a water feature, diverse seating, a flexible lawn, a stage/performance area, catenary lighting, and tree and shrub plantings - all above the two-level garage structure which occupies the space below. The project also boasts generous streetscape improvements along Boylston and Heath Street with the inclusion of wider sidewalks, new street trees, a bus stop and bike parking. The Team has begun to work with the Town of Brookline to review the concepts and are excited to engage the community in the vision for this exciting redevelopment.
